I don’t think I’ve ever gone this long without blogging! So sorry everyone! I have some exciting news though (for those of you who don’t already know) which will explain my absence here in blog land. We are adopting! We made the decision several months ago that it was time. Adoption is something we have always known we would eventually do. I’ll tell you the short version of where we are in the process. After much prayer we decided to adopt a foster child/children so we are going through CPS. We have finished all of the required paperwork and classes, are licensed, and are now just waiting to be matched. We don’t care about race, sex, etc and we are willing to take children from birth to 6 years. Yes, you read that right…children. We are open to sibling groups. We are beyond excited to see who God has for our family!

So that’s where I’ve been and what I’ve been up to lately. Oh and I have been shooting like a mad woman as well! I have so many sessions to blog it’s unreal. I’m not sure if I’ll ever be able to get caught up. I have sessions from like April I think that haven’t been blogged….not to mention every wedding I’ve shot this year. Fingers crossed that I can become a more consistent blogger again! Here’s just a little peek at some of the sessions I’ve done over the past several months that haven’t made it on the blog yet.

Alyse & Will were married in the sweetest ceremony I have ever witnessed on Friday. Alyse & I had a ton of fun at her bridal session…even though we landed on the windiest day EVER! Seriously, I have never shot in wind like that before. Alyse had come in from out of town for her shower though so it was the only day we would be able to do it before her wedding. She was a trooper and we certainly laughed a lot! Alyse, I was so honored to be a part of such a special day in your life! You are a gorgeous soul and I pray blessings over you & your marriage!

Just some sneak peeks of what’s being worked on here in the studio. If you’re currently waiting on your pictures please know that the team is working diligently to get caught up. And, thank God, we can see the light at the end of the tunnel! All of these plus the two weddings currently being processed should be online within the week (a little longer for the weddings). The super sweet Diana Schmidtman of Hillside Christian Church called me to see if I could do a last minute session with her lovely granddaughters while they were both here in Amarillo. We shot on a cold and windy morning but these girls were troopers and we ended up having a fabulous time. Thanks so much for calling me Diana! I had a blast working with you and the girls. Sarah called me because she wanted to do a session as a gift for her husband. They have been married for 8 years and she doesn’t feel like she really has any good photos of herself in her wedding dress from their wedding day (I can sympathize). Enter me… Now how many women can say they still fit in their wedding dress 8 years later??? Not me! Sarah totally worked this shoot! We shot on one of the windiest days ever. I literally thought we were going to blow away at one point, haha. I had a lot of fun though. Sarah is such a natural in front of the camera and their property in Southwest Amarillo is gorgeous!
